[p]Harley Davidson - the legendary motorcycle manufacturer, based in US launched the Street Glide Special in New Delhi at Rs. 30.53 lakhs (Ex-Showroom). Street Glide Special is a member of Harley-Davidson's touring line-up and replaces the ongoing model in the Indian market. The motorcycle comes equipped with Harley's 'Boom! Box GTS' system. The big cruiser is meant for those who like miles munching and highway rides.

[p]The Street Glide Special is fondly called the 'Hot Rod Bagger' by Harley-Davidson purists. The big bagger is powered by a 1,868 cc Milwaukee-Eight 114 engine that churns out a humongous 163 Nm of torque at 3,000 rpm. The state-of-the-art 'Boom! Box GTS' system has a 6.5 inch full TFT display. The touch screen unit works as the infotainment panel that carries navigation, music and manages phone calls for the rider.

[p]The big tourer weighs 362 kg and gets a huge tank with 22.7 litres of fuel capacity. The global markets also have a standard version of Street Glide but, Harley-Davidson's Indian line-up will only offer the Special version of the bike. Harley-Davidson is trying to attract young buyers at this moment and this can be seen in their product development strategies. The motorcycle manufacturer recently launched a power cruiser named FXDR 114 that gets a young and modern styling, which is a quite new and different playground for Harley-Davidson, as the brand is known for manufacturing some hardcore machines.
