[br][br]To bring everything under one umbrella, Facebook is reportedly planning to integrate the messenger back into its main social media app. Currently, users have to either download the Messenger app or open it separately on a browser. But, this new feature (if or when released) will enable users to access the messages on the native Facebook app directly. They will no longer have to install a new app altogether to read their messages. [br][br]The tech giant was spotted testing the feature by an app researcher Jane Manchun Wong. The development has come at a time when the tech giant is preparing to integrate its messaging service on all its owned social media platforms- Whatsapp, Instagram and Messenger. [br][br]The new “Chats section” will probably contain only a few features of Messenger and not the entire functionality of the app. Which means you might not be able to make calls, send photos and send message reactions inside the Facebook app, you will only be able to send or receive messages. [br][br]The feature will not dispose off the usage of the Messenger app entirely, users will still have to install the standalone app and be dependent on it to make video/ audio calls or send multimedia files and documents. But, it is worth noting that if at all the company releases the chats section on its Facebook app, users will not have to worry on missing out on any message that they have received or further keep some space on their device’s memory to fit in the messenger app.[br][br][br]

[br][br]The reason behind the movement of the messenger back into the Facebook app is reportedly stated to be the company's intention to exist in the market. Wong reportedly speculates that for the Messenger app, the company has plans to further cater to the needs of an audience other than that of the Facebook app. [br][br]source : www.timesnownews.com
