Every Now and then, you come across something on Google’s video sharing platform YouTube that you want to immediately share with your friends. However, did you know that there is also an option to chat while watching a video? This means you need not exit your YouTube app to chat or send an important message to someone. Here is a step-by-step on how you can do this.[br][br][ul][li]Open YouTube and login with your account[br][/li][/ul][ul][li]Tap on Activity tab placed at the third place at bottom-here, you will find two subheads; Shared and notifications. Tap on Shared.[br][/li][/ul][br][br][ul][li]Tap on Contacts-here, you will find a list of suggested contacts, that YouTube feels “You may know” with a quick shortcut to add them.[br][br]
[br][br][br][/li][/ul][ul][li]Besides that, YouTube will give you two options to add more contacts-first, sending an invitation link. Second, “Find in your phone book,” which is a much more convenient way, once you give access of your contacts to YouTube.[br][br]
[br][br][/li][/ul][ul][li]Tap on chat, to find a familiar personal chat window.[br][/li][/ul][ul][li]Tap on the three dots icon on the top right corner to find options like ‘adding a participant’ (to turn it into a group conversation), leave the chat and mute notifications.[br][br]
[br][br][/li][/ul][ul][li]You can even create a group from the beginning itself by tapping on New Group under the shared tab. You will first have to create a group name and then add participants from your contacts.[br][/li][/ul]However, do note that the recipient should have his/her YouTube notifications settings switched on, else they won’t be notified.[br][br] |
