With Creta maintaining well over 10,000 unit sales every month on average, other manufacturers have jumped on the bandwagon to grab a big pie but not everyone has succeeded.[br][br]With the competition growing thick and fast, Hyundai is expected to launch the second generation Creta sometime next year and it could be offered in both five- and seven-seat options. The 2020 Creta will reportedly become more upscale than the outgoing model. If the Venue compact SUV is any indication, we could see advanced connectivity features on the next-gen Creta as well.[br][br]The recently launched Tata Harrier and Nissan Kicks will be accompanied by the soon arriving Kia SP2i and the MG Hector, as astonishingly in the space of fewer than six months, four brand new rivals will be witnessed by Creta. To sustain the momentum until the second-gen model’s debut, Hyundai is expected to launch the Sport variant of Creta later this year.[br][br][img src="/storage/emulated/0/Download/Hyundai-Creta-Sport-11-696x465.jpg"][br]The Hyundai Creta Sport sold in Brazil has an aggressive exterior compared to the regular model with exterior and interior changes. On the outside, it gets black accents with the highlight being the blacked out front grille and glossy skid plate while the wing mirrors receive the same dark treatment as well and the new 17-inch alloy wheels in chrome.[br][br]At the back, the Creta Sport features black finished skid plate and roof rails along with a roof-mounted spoiler and shark fin antenna. The interior carries the dark theme all around with black leather seat upholstery, black headliner, Blue Media infotainment system supporting Apple CarPlay, Android Auto and digital TV.[br][br][img src="/storage/emulated/0/Download/2019-Hyundai-Creta-Sport-Interior-696x464.jpg"][br]The AC vent surrounds, gear lever and steering wheel are accented in black while the door handles are done up in chrome. In Brazil, the Creta Sport takes power from a 2.0-litre flex fuel engine developing 156 horsepower and 187 Nm in petrol model and 166 hp/201 Nm in when ethanol is used. It is connected to a six-speed automatic transmission.[br][br]To improve the handling characteristics the suspension is made firmer for lesser body roll. Hyundai may adapt the cosmetic changes from the Brazilian version of the Creta Sport and implement them with no powertrain changes in India.[br][br]Source: https://gaadiwaadi.com/hyundai-creta-sport-to-likely-launch-later-this-year/amp/ |
