The unique paint job employs a custom ‘Maggiore Blue’ which takes off from Campbell’s original Bluebird K3./ppNine layers of paint, an exhaustive process of hand-sanding, and intricate application of powdered lacquer renders a glistening blue image of the Phantom Drophead Coupe. In fact, the Waterspeed Edition also gets a hand-painted coachline which comes full circle in a Bluebird motif./ppAs for the rear, the signature teak decking of the Phantom Drophead Coupe is replaced by brushed steel for a touch of elegance, while the Maggiore Blue plays peek-a-boo through the specially developed, fully-polished 11-spoke wheels.[br] [img src="/storage/emulated/0/UCDownloads/1769272_1419706894.jpg"][br][br]Phantom Drophead Coupe[br]pWhat’s also a first of sorts is that the special nautical-inspired treatment expamds right into the engine of this Rolls-Royce, with blues taking over the 6.75 liter V12 power source./ppIt’s important to mention that Campbell’s Bluebird K3 hydroplane boat became the water speed record holder back in 1937, thanks to RR’s V12 engine only, proving that the brand’s roll-outs are as impressive on water as they are on land.[br] [br][img src="/storage/emulated/0/UCDownloads/1458121_1419706897.jpg"][br][br]Phantom Drophead Coupe[br]pNow the aqua palette continues into the cabin which is decked out in Windchill Grey leather interiors, with Abachi wood being used for the first time to add character and the aura of a speeding boat to the car./ppAlso unique is the two-tone steering wheel which offsets the electric blue with the traditional black—keeping in mind the drive’s theme of coworkers[br][img src="/storage/emulated/0/UCDownloads/1956267_1419706900.jpg"][br][br]Phantom Drophead Coupe[br]pThere are many little details that relay the intricacies of this bespoke, custom edition, the first of which is a hand-engraved door armrest tunnel cap that features the Bluebird motif./ppFor better appreciation of the artwork, you should know that this is the translation of eight long laborious hours by Rolls-Royce workers [br][img src="/storage/emulated/0/UCDownloads/1669981_1419706903.jpg"][br]Phantom Drophead Coupe[br]pAlso make note of the ‘power reserve’ dial which is in complete sync with Campbell’s boat.
