Google will pay you 0 Rs even if you reached the 1 Billion Downloads on play store![br][br]You have to earn money by placing ads in your app at proper locations and according to every click, you will get some money based on various factors (Cost Per Click is calculated based on Geographic Location, kind of Ad etc etc)[br][br]You can also earn by selling digital goods in app (in-app purchases). This are mostly profitable in games for extending utilities to play more or more coins or of that sort.[br][br]CPC will be higher for countries like USA, Russia and European Countries and comparatively lower for countries like India, China, Africa (This is based on my personal experience).[br][br][br]
[br][br]As you can see in above screen shot, it took 1.66k page views and 4 clicks for India to reach 0.1$ while the same was achieved by France, Portugal and Russia for far less views and clicks.[br][br]Amount of money you will earn from your app will be based on number of active users and Daily Engagement of users on your app. If you are developing game, daily engagement will be more (more impressions, more clicks), but people eventually will get bored of it and will uninstall. On the other hand, utility apps like Music Players, File Transfer, Alarm etc etc apps will have less Daily Engagement (less impressions, less clicks) but people will tend to keep your app in their for more time (as long as your app is fulfilling their expectations with regular updates)[br][br][br]I have placed around 4–5 banner ads (small ads at the bottom of screen) and in a day I get around 700–900 impressions as of now. Number of clicks varies over days. On average I get around 2–3 clicks per day which gives me around 0.1 - 0.2 $ per day. (This again is based on from which country clicks are coming from)[br][br]Keep in mind while putting ads in app that ads should not disturb the user experience as it will lead to more clicks (accidental clicks mostly) but less retention rate which is not good in long run. [br][br]And you should also give user a option to remove ads by paying lump sum amount so that they can enjoy ad-free (or Pro Version) of your app. You can also attract potential Pro-User by providing some exciting feature only in Pro version (or giving free trial of those features for limited period for some period).[br][br]Google doesn't pay money to developers based on the number of app downloads if it is a free app. Developers uses different mechanisms to make money from their app users. Few of the common strategies are[br][br][ul][li]Ads - Developers provide an app for me and show ads using ad networks like AdMob in the apps whenever users are using their app. Developers will make money from ad networks based on the number of ads shown and number of ads clicked in their app.[br][/li][/ul][ul][li]In-app purchase - Developers will provide the app for free and make you to pay whenever you wish the premium features or extra digital goods like game coins or avatars.[br][/li][/ul][ul][li]Subscription - Apps provide a service and make their users to pay monthly or yearly subscription fee. Few news paper apps are using this strategy.[br][/li][/ul]Google will pay money only if the app is a paid app. Whenever a users downloads a paid app, they will pay money before downloading the app. In such apps, Google takes 30% of the app download cost and give 70% of the app download cost to the corresponding developers. These days paid apps revenue model isn't working pretty well. Many app development companies and app developers are moving away from it.[br][br][br] |
