[br][br]Backing up your Android data is generally a pretty simple task - Google stores most of your options and data in the Cloud, making it easy to transfer from one device to another. Here are a few basics for how to back up your Android phone and how to gain access to it if something happens.[br][br][br]The information below should apply no matter who made your Android phone: Samsung, Google, Huawei, Xiaomi, etc.[br][br]How to Backup Android Phone Automatically[br]By default, your Android phone should have your data set to backup automatically. In order to make sure everything is operating as intended:[br][br]Open your Android settings.[br][br]From there, you 'll either need to find the Backup & Reset option or, if that option isn't on your device go to System ] Backup.[br][br]backup android phone[br]Once there, you should see a few different options. Make sure your primary email address is selected, then make sure the backup options you want are selected. Many phones also have a menu option that will tell you the last time your data was backed up.[br][br][br]How to Manually Backup Other Items on Android Through Google[br]Tip: Automatic backups are great, but occasionally backing up your most important data, like pictures, is also a good idea to make sure things are secure.[br][br]Not everything on your phone will backup automatically when you set your Android backup options. Things like photos will need to be set individually.[br][br]As long as your Android device uses your primary email, nearly everything else in the Google suite, such as Calendar, Contacts, Gmail, etc., should all be set to automatically backup.[br][br]If you use Google Photos:[br][br]Open the app.[br][br]Navigate to the Settings.[br][br]Select the Automatic Backup option for Google Photos.[br][br]If you're using an older phone, there may be an option you can select to manually backup all of your Android data. [br][br]Backup Android Phone Using Third-Party Apps[br]If you want some extra peace of mind, there are several third-party options to backup your Android device. Here are a few options available:[br][br]

G Cloud Backup has an intuitive setup that allows you to specifically choose the apps, items, and data you'd like to backup. It also has fairly inexpensive items if you'd like to upgrade your account and add more data and options.[br]App Backup and Restore: App Backup and Restore offers a few more options for users with a lot of data, but it's not quite as easy to use as G Cloud. However, if you prefer to have a physical data backup (such as an SD card) over cloud storage, this is probably a better bet for ease of use.[br][br]SMS Backup & Restore: If all you're worried about is making sure you've got access to your text messages across devices, this is the app for you. It's incredibly easy to use, and you can set up an automatic update schedule so you don't need to remember to manually back up your messages. Once you've set up a schedule, SMS Backup & Restore does the rest. |
