Their innovative air conditioner keeps you and your electricity consumption cool.[br][br]In this exclusive conversation with The Better India, Ravi Patel tells us how this product came into being, it's working, and how this nifty innovation is changing people's lives.What is this innovation?[br][br]A small air conditioner, which only cools your bed area.[br][br]Consuming about 400-watt of electricity, this innovation equals the use of about three bulbs.[br][br]Compared to the regular 1.5-tonne behemoth that cools the whole room, this air conditioning unit is less than 8 inches tall, 11 inches long and 18 inches deep.[br][br]What's more, it weighs only about 13 kilograms![br][br]The unit comes with a tent-like structure that covers your bed, and the actual AC unit focuses on cooling only the area in which you sleep.[br][br]The overall design makes it terribly efficient - both in cooling and power consumption.[br]Compact, light, and portable, Ravi claims that using the ac unit will reduce electricity bills to a great extent. He elaborates, "It consumes almost 60-65 per cent less electricity when compared to a normal air conditioning unit."[br][br]There was a time when having an air conditioner was considered a luxury, but soaring temperatures over the past few years have made it a necessity. And it comes with a number of costs - modifications to the civil structure of the home, high power consumption, high cost of the AC unit itself, and regular maintenance.[br][br]Ravi feels that this product will provide economic comfort to a large audience.[br][br]How is it different from a regular AC?[br][br]This is an oft-asked question put to Ravi and his team. He reiterates, "One of the biggest difference is your electricity bill each month."[br][br]He lists some other differences:[br][br]· Since the cooling area is specific, it works more efficiently;[br]· Can be self-installed and does not need a technician;[br]· Any 5 Ampere socket is enough for it to work;[br]· Can also run on a 1KVA inverter;[br]· It is advisable to use this ac unit with doors and windows open to promote air circulation;[br][br]Client speaks[br][br]Tupik ACRavi shares, "We receive frequent calls from people who cannot believe that such a product exists. One of our clients, a bachelor from Madhya Pradesh, was apprehensive, but once he purchased it, he was extremely pleased and gave us positive feedback."[br][br]Established in 2016, the team took a year for research and development to commercially launch the product in 2017.
