In order to determine whether the object is moving, the sensor uses an optical system-the Fresnel lens. Sometimes a system of concave segment mirrors is used instead of the Fresnel lens. Segments of the optical system (lenses or mirrors) focus IR radiation on the pyro element, which produces an electrical pulse. As the source of infrared radiation moves, it is captured and focused by different segments of the optical system, which forms several consecutive pulses. Depending on the sensitivity setting of the sensor, 2 or 3 pulses must be output to the pyroelectric sensor for output of the final signal.[br][br]This function is very useful.[br][br]First, disabling the screen during a conversation ensures that you do not accidentally press a button on the touch screen, such as the cheek or ear.[br][br]Secondly, this sensor allows you to save the charge of your smartphone.
