You can talk in length about a topic without spending Re 1 on every single message that you send, you can respond to specific messages and know exactly what you are talking about and best of all you can share all sorts of media files with ease. What makes WhatsApp conversation is also a simple, widely used yet conviniently ignored feature called the emojis. Tapping on the bottom left corner of your keypad gives you the access to WhatsApp's library of emojis which are grouped based on categories. These categories makes finding the right emojis easy. Now, WhatsApp is bringing the same feature to its doodle feature.[br][br]We already know that the Facebook-owned social messaging app is revamping the user interface of its doodles tool. The company is planning to group stickers and emojis into separate categories and it is introducing a search bar in its doodle feature that would make searching for the right emoji or sticker a bit more easier and faster for the users. Now, WABetaInfo reports that the emoji category bar that is available in the app's emoji keyboard in the chat is coming to the doodle feature.[br][br]This means that apart from being able to look for the right emoji in chats, WhatsApp users will be able to look for the right emoji - based on various available categories - while they are doodling images within the app.[br][br][br]Notably, this feature - the emoji category bar - comes in addition to the new official emojis that the popular messaging app is planning to roll out on to its platform. Unlike the old emojis, the new official emojis have a 3D-ish appeal and hence look a bit better than the exiting set of emojis.[br][br]Sadly, the emoji category bar feature is still under development and there is no word on when it would be available on WhatsApp Beta for Android. But given the fact that the official emojis are available on the app now, it shouldn't take long.[br][br]Apart from the emoji category bar, WhatsApp is also making some changes to its archived chats feature. Earlier, the company moved its archived chats to the main side menu on the top right corner of the app. But now the feature has been moved back to the bottom. While it is not know why the archived chats were dumped back at the bottom it is possible that WhatsApp could bring it back in the main menu when the Ignore Archived Chats option is enabled for everyone. |
