[strong]Soon WhatsApp Users Will Not Be Able to Take Screenshots of Individual Chats[/strong][br][br][strong]WhatsApp[/strong] is working on a plethora of new features to offer an enhanced user experience. A new report coming from Independent UK states that the Facebook-owned messaging app will soon deny users from capturing a screenshot of individual chats. Instagram already has a feature similar to this one as it notifies a user whenever someone captures a screenshot of the direct messages screen. But whatsapp is all set to block capturing screenshots, which might come as a surprise to many. The new feature comes as part of a plethora of security changes that the app has been working on and introducing, keeping in line with the app’s commitment to user privacy.[br][br] [br][br][strong]WhatsApp Screenshot Blocking Feature: How it Works?[/strong][br][br]Well, the screenshot-blocking feature will be made available to users whenever WhatsApp plans to release the ‘[a href="https://telecomtalk.info/whatsapp-touch-id-biometric-authentication/188841/"]Authentication[/a]‘ feature, which is currently under development for Android users. iOS users already received the authentication feature recently, but it did not add any screenshot blocking feature though.[br][br]Before accessing into the app, the ‘Authentication’ feature would ask users to confirm their identities via their fingerprints, WABetaInfo reported. On enabling the feature, even after confirming their identities, users would not be able to take a screenshot of their chats, IANS reported.[br][br]“Fingerprint Security: When enabled, fingerprint is required to open [strong]WhatsApp[/strong]and conversation screenshots are blocked. You can still reply to messages from notifications and answer calls if WhatsApp is locked,” a screenshot of the beta version of the ‘Authentication’ feature reads.[br][br]Information surfacing about this upcoming feature has left users in a state of confusion. But right now, it’s unknown how this feature exactly works in real life. We’ll only get to know more details regarding this once it rolls out to the public and the details about the roll-out of the feature remain unknown as well.[br][br][strong]WhatsApp Working on Several New Features[/strong][br][br]Right now, WhatsApp is working on several new features ranging from privacy features to reducing spam content on the platform. First of all, WhatsApp is actively working on to add more features to detect spam messages as General Elections in India are going on across various states. The instant messaging company added several features like spam link detection, frequently forwarded messages and it even educating users across the country on how they can avoid spam messages.[br][br]In other news, WhatsApp is also reported to be working on bringing a Dark Mode to the platform like Facebook Messenger. Dark Mode on WhatsApp is one of the most requested features from users across the globe as it helps in saving battery life and also looks stunning on OLED screens.
