Perhaps, there is no mobile phone at any distance village in our country which is devoid of any active internet connection and has a social media account. Truth to be told, this overwhelming unfurling of the internet wasn't inevitable and surprising at all. Amidst these fight over monopolism of the data band and winning the hearts of Indians, Kolkata city set a new record. It was the first city of India to have complete WiFi coverage at public places. From bus stops to metro rails, people can access the services with just a simple login process. That is, however not all since now most of the cities in India, especially the railway stations have this facility. People travelling from Rajarhat to Salt Lake Sector V (which happens to the IT hub of the city) can access free internet on their way. This is the very first time any public road is muscled with 4G wireless internet services.
