Weather refers to day-to-day temperature and precipitation activity, whereas climate is the term for the averaging of atmospheric conditions over longer periods of time. When used without qualification, "weather" is generally understood to mean the weather of Earth.[p style="text-align: center;"]

There was a time when you had to read the newspaper or watch the local news to get the weather forecast. Thankfully, those days are over. The smartphone in your pocket can be used as a portable weather studio. A weather app can tell you everything you need to know about the weather. A handy widget makes it even easier to check the on current conditions.[p style="text-align: center;"]

Many stick to an OEM weather widget or the data presented by a stock app or launcher. Some people install third-party apps from their favorite weather provider, others are old school and only get their weather reports from the evening news or during their commute via radio, for the purposes of this weekend's conversation, let's stick to phones.
