The good news is that both these features are something that could be available even on the next-gen Hyundai i20, which will launch in India in the middle of the next year.[br][br]The current Hyundai i20 is the second-largest selling model in the B2-segment but trails the all-conquering Maruti Baleno by a fair margin. However, the 2020 i20 could put an end to its rival’s dominance with an all-new design, a better-equipped cabin and the powerful yet fuel efficient 1.0-litre Turbo GDI petrol engine with the 7-speed DCT.[br][br]For the Hyundai Venue, the new 1.0-litre Turbo GDI petrol engine develops a maximum power of 120 PS and a peak torque of 172 Nm. Transmission choices include a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic and a 6-speed manual transmission. It has an ARAI-rated fuel efficiency of 18.27 kmpl. One can safely expect similar figures from this motor for the next-gen Hyundai i20.[br][img src="/storage/emulated/0/Download/hyundai-elite-i20-next-gen-redering-1-2-696x437.jpg"][br]The 1.0-litre turbo petrol-equipped next-gen Hyundai i20 will be even a potent rival to the Tata Altroz, which will get Nexon’s 1.2-litre turbocharged petrol engine, albeit, in a lower state of tune and with a 5-speed manual and automated manual transmission options.[br][br]The next-gen Hyundai i20 will have an evolved design, which will see the usage of the company’s latest Cascading Grille and the Composite Light multi-tier lighting arrangement. The side profile should have bold creases along with a rising beltline.[br][br]In spite of the new design elements, however, safely expect the car to retain its European look. The new model will be even bigger in dimensions, which should lead to a roomier cabin with a larger boot space and more legroom and shoulder-room for all passengers.[br][br]The Interior of the next-gen Hyundai i20 will be better kitted out than that of the already well-equipped current-gen model. We expect it to gain wireless charging, a bigger touchscreen infotainment unit and the company’s BlueLink connected apps suite.[br][br]Source: https://gaadiwaadi.com/next-gen-hyundai-i20-likely-to-get-1-0-litre-turbo-petrol-engine-with-7-speed-dct/amp/ |
