[br][br]Intelligent rings have been around for a while now, but a new take on the whole concept comes from an outfit with a catchy name – Thingyfy. With their ring, you’ll have contacts, digital payments, social networks, files, medical ID and even a cryptocurrency wallet on your finger. The problem with smart technology in jewelry is fitting a battery in it. It would be a little bulkier than wanted, not that it’s jewelry but remember Google Glass? Yeah, didn’t turn out so well. The NXT ring takes a little turn in the smart world. This ring stores any personal information, medical records, pictures, files, social accounts, playlists, texts, even the ability to make payments at stores through popular payment apps. [br][br]Features:[br][br]Battery Free[br][br][ul][li]Waterproof[br][/li][/ul][ul][li]Cloud Powered[br][/li][/ul][ul][li]Secured[br][/li][/ul][ul][li]Crypto Payments[br][/li][/ul][ul][li]Easy to use[br][/li][/ul][br]
[br][br][br]The 'NXT Ring' is a wearable technology accessory for consumers that will provide them with a streamlined way to keep their digital information figuratively and literally on-hand. Looking like a high-end piece of jewelry, the ring is outfitted with NFC technology that will enable wearers to seamlessly share their information with new friends or business contacts. The secure profile linked to the ring can also be used for storing medical identification, cryptocurrencies and much more to make access to this information far easier for users. You don’t even need an app to use it as it’s all powered by the cloud for storage and accessible on a web browser.[br][br][br]
[br][br][br]The device offers a brand new way to connect and share. Every ring holds a key to your digital NXT Profile which sits on the cloud. This is totally customizable – allowing users to add, for example, their social profiles, playlists or PayPal information. The interface has a folder-like structure letting you structure info, folders, and links, as per your preference. You can even add emergency contacts and medical ID. The latter allows you to store critical information such as blood type, allergies, prescriptions, medical conditions and more. When you access any smartphone (those that support NFC, which is all phones nowadays to my knowledge), the cloud server generates a random link on the web for you to visit. [br][br][br]
[br][br][br]Its one of greatest feature is that it’s also waterproof down to 3m. The NXT ring could be incredibly helpful for medical emergencies where seconds matter. Store important info like allergies, blood type, emergency contact info, and medical history that can be accessed in seconds by EMT. The info is extremely secure thanks to 128-bit Unique Random Identifiers (URI). To share simply tap your ring to a person’s phone. The NFC chip on the ring will connect with the URI on your phone, and allow guest browsers to open your profile. There are a number of versions to choose from that differ significantly in price.[br][br][br]
[br][br][br]In case you lose your ring, all you have to do is unlink that ring from your account. If anyone finds it, there’ll be no way to access anything. The ring will pretty much just be another piece of jewelry. You can even store as many rings as you want to one account. They also offer custom sizing with a small fee during the campaign. The materials they offer are silicone rubber, brushed titanium, polished surgical steel, and 8-karat gold. Any phone that supports NFC should have no problem with its compatibility. Most android phones made after 2015 have this feature. You can check the same by visiting your phones manufacturer site.[br][br]source kickstarter |
