[p]The Kirin 810 will be unveiled tomorrow at Huawei’s Nova 5 launch event. The new chipset will power the Nova 5 and will be Huawei’s second 7nm chipset. There are reports that it will have a dedicated NPU made by Huawei itself and not a third party like that of the Kirin 980. An AI benchmark result has surfaced and it shows the Kirin 810 is a beast.[p]
[br][p][em]Benchmark 3[/em]not only reveals how well the chipset performs in AI-related tasks compared to others but also provides some key details about the chipset itself. First, it confirms the Nova 5 is powered by the Kirin 810 as you can see in the first image below.[figure id="attachment_260207" aria-describedby="caption-attachment-260207"][amp-img src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/06/Nova-5-AI-score-Kirin-810.png" alt="Nova 5 AI score Kirin 810" width="1840" height="463" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/06/Nova-5-AI-score-Kirin-810.png 1840w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/06/Nova-5-AI-score-Kirin-810-300x75.png 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/06/Nova-5-AI-score-Kirin-810-768x193.png 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/06/Nova-5-AI-score-Kirin-810-1024x258.png 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/06/Nova-5-AI-score-Kirin-810-696x175.png 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/06/Nova-5-AI-score-Kirin-810-1068x269.png 1068w" layout="intrinsic" i-amphtml-layout="intrinsic"][img decoding="async" alt="Nova 5 AI score Kirin 810" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/06/Nova-5-AI-score-Kirin-810.png 1840w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/06/Nova-5-AI-score-Kirin-810-300x75.png 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/06/Nova-5-AI-score-Kirin-810-768x193.png 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/06/Nova-5-AI-score-Kirin-810-1024x258.png 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/06/Nova-5-AI-score-Kirin-810-696x175.png 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/06/Nova-5-AI-score-Kirin-810-1068x269.png 1068w" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/06/Nova-5-AI-score-Kirin-810.png" sizes="(max-width: 424px) 394px, 100vw"][/amp-img][/figure][h5][figure aria-describedby="caption-attachment-260207"][figcaption id="caption-attachment-260207"]AI Benchmark – Devices[/figcaption][/figure][/h5][p]In the second image, we see the 7nm Kirin 810 is an octa-core processor with four Cortex-A76 cores clocked at 2.27GHz and another set of Cortex-A55 cores clocked at 1.88GHz.
