[br][div]Well, all smart TVs can collect-and share-significant amounts of personal data about their viewers. This Smart Interactivity "feature" works by watching what I watch -- whether it's by cable or streaming. It also records the date, time, and channel of programs and if I watched the show live or recorded. [/div][div]This feature is done using automatic content recognition [strong](ACR)[/strong] that try to recognize all the content being played on the television, including over-the-air, cable, streaming services.[/div][div][br][/div][div][h3][strong][font color="#134f5c"]So, what can you do ? [strong][font color="#134f5c"][br][/strong][/div][div]Here’s our step-by-step guide.[/div][div][br][strong]LG:[/strong] Turn of the ‘Live Plus’ option from the settings menu[br][strong]On newer LG models: [/strong]On newer LG models: Click on the ‘Settings’ icon at the upper right side of the main menu screen. Next, head to ‘All Settings’ and look for ‘General’ option. Then, scroll down and look for the option ‘Live Plus’[br][strong]On older models: [/strong]Turn of the Terms of Use, Privacy Policy, Viewing information, and Personalized Advertising’ which can be found under the User Agreements’ option just below the About this TV option.[/div][div][br][strong]Sony:[/strong] Turn off Interactive TV Settings or Samba Interactive TV[br][/div][/div][div][strong]On Sony Android-based smart TVs: [/strong]Sony Android-based smart TVs: Go to the ‘Settings’ and head to the System Preferences option. Select ‘Interactive TV Settings or Samba Interactive TV and disable it.[br][strong]On older Sony TVs:[/strong] Head to Settings -> Preferences-> Setup-> Network->Samba Interactive TV -> Settings and disable it.[br][br][/div][div][strong]Samsung:[/strong] Turn off the Viewing Information Services[br][strong]On newer Samsung smart-TV models: [/strong]Head to ‘Settings’ in the main menu, look for Support and then scroll down to Terms & Policies. Turn of the Viewing Information Services and Voice Recognition Services.[br][strong]On older Samsung smart-TV models:[/strong] Go to Settings, click on Support and look for the option Terms & Policy.
