One such instance has reportedly happened with the WhatsApp Dark Mode since WABetaInfo recently reported that WhatsApp Dark Mode has been completely removed from WhatsApp beta for Android while the feature was earlier spotted in multiple WhatsApp beta updates but only under development.[br][br]Here we take a look at some of the most anticipated WhatsApp upcoming features which have been spotted in the beta versions of the app and are expected to be rolled out soon for the stable version of the WhatsApp app.[br][br]WhatsApp upcoming features: WhatsApp Payment rollout for all, product catalogs, animated stickers and more[br][br]WhatsApp product catalogs[br][br]These product catalogs will be visible on the WhatsApp profiles of businesses within the app and customers will be able to browse through them. This upcoming WhatsApp feature is expected to help millions of small businesses which do not have a website or a listing on high-value domains to get better reach and exposure. Especially in countries like India, the new product catalogs feature will help businesses to lay out their products directly on WhatsApp.[br][br]Animated stickers for WhatsApp[br][br]According to a report by WABetaInfo, WhatsApp users will soon be able to share animated WhatsApp stickers through their Android smartphones, iPhones as well as through WhatsApp web. Moreover, the Animated WhatsApp Stickers will be played for a few seconds unlike Gifs and the platform is highly likely to come with support for third-party apps just like the conventional stickers feature.[br][br]Stickers Notification Preview[br][br]According to a report by WABetaInfo, stickers notification preview option has been spotted in WhatsApp beta for Android 2.19.130 update. This feature essentially gives users an option to preview a WhatsApp message with a sticker in the notification bar itself. This works in a similar way of how WhatsApp stickers can be previewed in the notification bar on iOS devices.[br][br]Frequently forwarded messages[br][br]WABetaInfo has recently reported that WhatsApp is testing two new features which will help the app curb the fake news problem. These upcoming WhatsApp features have been dubbed as "Forwarding Info" and "Frequently Forwarded" and while the Forwarding Info feature will tell users how many times a message they have sent has been forwarded, the Frequently Forwarded feature adds a label above a sent message marking it as a "Frequently Forwarded" after it gets forwarded more than four times.[br][br]In-app browser[br][br]The new WhatsApp beta for Android 2.19.74 update was spotted with the in-app browser feature according to WABetaInfo and whenever a user taps on a link shared within a chat, WhatsApp launches the in-app browser. The report also added that if a user opts for the in-app browser, their search history won’t be accessible to either WhatsApp or Facebook since the feature users Application Programming Interface (API).[br][br]Other than these, the WhatsApp beta for iOS 2.19.40 update has been spotted with support for iPad and WABetaInfo has reported that the new iPad version of the WhatsApp app is still under development.
