The benefits are universal, from increased safety to the performance of the vehicle itself.[br][br]Mercedes-Benz, a German automobile company has launched its first all-electric vehicle. The EQC sports utility will be available in the United States and will mark the debut of the German carmaker’s electric ‘EQ’ marque. The Mercedes-Benz EQC is the very first all-electric car under the Mercedes brand. It was revealed back in September 2018 and is also the first production vehicle from the new EQ all-electric sub-brand from Mercedes-Benz.[br][br]The 2020 Mercedes-Benz EQC400[br][br]The company has successfully combined all the best qualities of its combustion-powered products with a zero-emissions powertrain on a broad scale. The Mercedes-Benz EQC comes with a dual motor setup, one for the front axle and one for the rear. The combination generates 564 pound-feet of torque, 402 horsepower, and the ability to accelerate from 0-60 mph in 4.9 seconds.[br][br][br]

[br][br]Additionally, it packs an 80-kilowatt-hour-ion battery which according to Mercedes-Benz, gives 277 to 293 miles of range per charge while consuming power at the rate of 20.8 to 19.7 kWh per 100 kilometers. It has an electronically limited top speed of 180 km/h (112 mph).[br][br]Vehicle charging[br][br]Each EQC can handle DC charging at 110 kW, that means it super-charging networks allows the owner to charge it from 1 to 80 percent in 40 minutes, which is pretty much quick. You can start for lunch somewhere and the car will be complete for the rest of your road trip.[br][br]There are over 300 charging location compatible with the Mercedes vehicles. And what is more cool about the EQC is its ability to find the charging locations along a route, in the car and through the companion iOS/Android app. The app makes it particularly easy to adjust the amount of battery you feel comfortable having as you reach each station.[br][br][br]

[br][br]In addition, Mercedes is aiming to have a payment partnership with about 80 percent of the charging stations in the US and Europe. This means that the driver would pull up to a station along their route and the car would act as the payment system.[br][br]For optimum performance, it is recommended that you charge your plug-in hybrid on a regular basis – for example overnight. If there is no opportunity to charge the battery, you can still remain fully mobile thanks to the combustion engine. Through innovative radar-based technology, the system automatically adjusts the car’s regenerative braking to recuperate as much energy as possible, charging the battery as you drive.[br][br]Interior design[br][br]It is a five-seater vehicle and has a trunk capacity of 500 liters (18 cu ft). The EQC400 gives consumers impressive latitude to adjust the driving experience. In addition to four driving modes (Sport, Comfort, Eco, and Individual), there are five different regeneration modes available.[br][br][br]

[br][br]Along with a quiet cabin, the cloth-and-leather seats are amazing. Mercedes’ amazing MBUX infotainment system is on display here. It has an additional EQ feature for electric cars, and the voice assistant has been updated accordingly. You can ask it about the range or prepare to charge the battery.[br][br]The battery pack is sealed, and high-voltage circuits are protected from casual contact and appropriately marked so you know where they’re located. All high voltage cables and circuits are also marked and are in bright orange with warning labels on them. So it is as safe as a conventional vehicle.[br][br]What’s more?[br][br]Regenerative braking adds to your charge as you drive. When the vehicle is coasting and the driver touches the brake pedal, the electric motor acts as a generator, slowing the car and pumping electric power back into the battery. Essentially, the momentum of the car is converted into extra power, extending your range as you go.[br][br][br]

[br][br]Moreover, the car comes with real metal switchgear throughout the cabin, beautiful metal inserts in the door panels, and a 64-color ambient lighting suite that’s the best in the business.[br][br]Pricing is not surely available yet. Some of those buyers will be looking for an uncompromising Mercedes to put in their garage, and it looks like the automaker has delivered just that.
