The government of India is of the opinion that the entire bulk of communication and data transmitted over those networks will be stored in India only.[br][br][br]
[br][br]The Indian government has been working towards developing and using a chat application which is similar to the popular social messaging WhatsApp and a number of other indigenous secure communication channels. At least this is applicable for government agencies so as to insulate the country from future vulnerabilities growing from a number of geopolitical developments, according to two officials who were quoted in a report by the Economic Times.[br][br]The ET report further quoted a senior government official stating that the way US companies such a Google and Qualcomm are preparing to cut ties with Huawei after Washington's sanctions which were imposed against the Chinese electronics manufacturer had alarmed the Indian authorities.[br][br]Source : timesnownews. com |
