[br][strong][br][/strong][div][strong]Advanced Preparations[/strong][strong]:[/strong][strong] [/strong][br][br][strong]1[/strong][strong].[/strong]Turn off your modem, router and computer.[br][br][strong]2[/strong][strong].[/strong]Connect your modem to the WAN port of the TP-Link router via an Ethernet cable; connect a computer to TP-Link router’s LAN port via an Ethernet cable.[br][br][strong]3[/strong][strong].[/strong]Power on your router and computer first and then modem.[br][br][strong]Step 1[/strong][br][br]Log into the router’s web-based management page[br][br][br][br][strong]Step 2[/strong][br][br]Configure WAN Connection Type[br][br]On the router’s management page, click Network > WAN on the left of the web page:[br][br]Change the [strong]WAN Connection Type[/strong] to [strong]PPPoE[/strong].[br][br] [br][br][strong]Step 3[/strong][br][br]Enter your PPPoE username and password which are provided by your ISP.[br][br]
[br][br][strong]Step 4[/strong][br][br]Click [strong]Save [/strong]to save your settings, then the router will connect to Internet after a while.[br][br][br][strong]Step 5[/strong][br][br]Wait for a few minutes and check the [strong]WAN part on the Status page[/strong], if it shows any IP address (similar as below), that means the connection between the Router and the Modem is established.[br][br]
[br][br][strong]Step 6[/strong][br][br]If there is not wan IP address and no internet access, pleasedo a Power Cycle as the below:[br][br]1. Turn the DSL modem off first, then turn your router and computer off, and leave them off for about 2 minutes;[br][br]2. Turn the DSL modem on first, wait till the modem gets ready, then turn the router and your computer back on. [/div] |
