[br]The next major Windows 10 Update (19H2) is being readied for a September release. As per the official blog, this release will contain a “scoped set of features for select performance improvements, enterprise features, and quality enhancements and will be delivered to customers running the May 2019 Update using servicing technology”.[br][br]What this means is 19H2 will be a comparatively minor release that will focus on performance improvements and enhancements but will be delivered in a major new way thanks to the quality-of-life improvements to the update process that was announced in April and rolled out with the May 2019 update.[br][br]Microsoft will deliver the new updates using new servicing technology that will deliver updates in a more controlled and faster manner while being less disruptive to your daily work cycles.[br]As per the blog, the new update is already being seeded to Insider Program’s “Slow ring” as of this week. Microsoft is also going to introduce features slowly to Insiders using CFRs (Controlled Feature Rollouts) for better feedback on quality. The first of these updates will be to test out the new delivery process itself and will not contain any features that will be visible to users.[br][br]The company will detail the new features of 19H2 closer to release in September. |
