The Infinix S4 is Infinix’s fifth generation of the Infinix S series that was launched recently. Its main selling point is its camera setup both the front and rear, but it also packs impressive specifications that will wow you. We had a chance to check out the device for the past few days and here we’ll talk about some of our early impressions of the Infinix S4.
Design
The Inifinix S4 rocks a sleek frame with the rear and front coated in 2.5D glass covering and a crisp 6.2 inch HD display which looked vibrant indoors. The Infinix S4 comes with minimum side and front bezels and feels surprisingly sturdy. You get a new waterdrop notch at the top for maximum multimedia content viewing. On the back, you have the triple camera setup and the rear fingerprint sensor. The Infinix S4 comes in various colours including gradient blue, purple and Milan black. Our review unit is the gradient blue one and is definitely attention-grabbing with its colour-shifting blue on the top back and black gradient on the bottom back.
Software and Performance
The Infinx S4 comes stocked with XOS v5.0 Cheetah on top of Android 9.0 Pie. Infinix has also added software enhancements and customisation features such as this side panel you scroll over to get tools like the screenshot feature or apps for easy multi-app switching.
The Infinix S4 comes with a MediaTek Helio P22 processor and either 3 gigs of RAM or 6 coupled with 32 or 64 GB of onboard storage respectively. We got the 3GB variant. So far performance has been zippy enough and we’ll continue testing this in our upcoming reviews. I’ve had zero issues and I can’t wait to pass this honeymoon phase.
Cameras
On the Infinix S4, you’ll also find a triple rear camera set-up that features a 13MP, an 8MP and a 2MP wide-angle sensor aligned vertically next to the quad LED flash. The selfie shooter is a 32MP AI-powered selfie camera. In terms of camera modes, you get to play around with beauty, bokeh, AR shot, Portrait mode, panorama, auto HDR among others. That's the best past especially selfie |
