[br][br]Add a widget to your Home screen to easily get information using the Google Maps app. You can also save your important places as shortcuts to quickly look up directions.[br][br][strong]Add a shortcut to get directions[/strong][br][br][ul][li]On your Android phone or tablet, go to the widget[a href="https://support.google.com/nexus/answer/2781850#widgets"] [/a]section.[br][/li][/ul][ul][li]Find the "Google Directions" widget.[br][/li][/ul][ul][li]Touch and hold the widget and drop it on your Home screen.[br][/li][/ul][ul][li]At the top, choose a type of transport, like walking or driving.[br][/li][/ul][ul][li]Enter a destination and shortcut name.[br][/li][/ul][ul][li]Check any boxes that match your preferences. For example, you can check a box to always avoid tolls for driving routes.[br][/li][/ul][ul][li]Tap [strong]Save[/strong]. When you tap the widget on your Home screen, Google Maps will navigate to your saved destination.[/li][/ul][p][br][h1]Add apps, shortcuts and widgets to your Home screens[/h1][div][p]To quickly get to your favourite content, you can customise your Home screens. Touch and hold the app. Then tap Widgets .[h4]Resize a widget[/h4][ol][li]Touch and hold the widget on your Home screen.[/li][li]Lift your finger. If the widget can be resized, you'll see an outline with dots on the sides.[/li][li]To resize the widget, drag the dots.[/li][li]When you've finished, tap outside the widget.[/li][/ol][p][p][/div][/div][/div][h2]Organise on Home screens[/h2][div][div][a id="folder" name="folder" aria-expanded="true" tabindex="0" role="button" aria-haspopup="true" 4,8"folder"=""]Make folders (groups)[/a][/div][div][div][ol][li]Touch and hold an app or shortcut.[/li][li]Drag that app or shortcut on top of another. Lift your finger.[ul][li]To add more, drag each one on top of the group.[/li][li]To name the group, tap the group, then tap [strong]Unnamed Folder[/strong]. 'Remove' takes an app off your Home screen only.
