[br]Soon WhatsApp will roll out a new feature for Android users that enables them to hide statuses of their contacts that they do not wish to see. This feature was spotted in the online portal that reports upcoming new changes in the Facebook-owned messaging platform, Android beta version (2.19.183) of the app by WABetaInfo.[br][br]After rolling out this feature, it will allow users to hide the section that lists all muted status updates. WhatsApp users will soon find a 'hide' button on the muted status updates section header. Once they click it, all the status updates in the mute section will disappear.[br][br]Users have also got the option of clicking on 'show' option in case they change their mind which brings back all the stories of contacts they have muted earlier.[br][br]At first, this feature will be rolled out to the beta users, later it will be rolled out all the Android users. There is no exact date known saying when this feature will be rolled out of to iOS users.[br][br]Now WhatsApp will show the name of the recipient while sending an image to a contact. This is available in both individual and group chats. It gives a final look to the users to the person(s) with whom they are sharing the image. While this is certainly a good addition, WhatsApp already has the feature of showing the profile picture or group icon in case of individual or group conversations correspondingly on the top left corner for the sender to be surer. This new feature will be really helpful especially in case the contact has not assigned a profile picture or has a display picture that is similar to a common group icon. Soon the feature is likely to be rolled out to a stable build as it is already there in the beta build.[br][br] |
