[br][br]South Korean carmaker Hyundai is all set to launch its Hyundai Kona Electric Vehicle (EV) in India on July 9.[br][br]The subcompact SUV will join the likes of Hyundai's Creta and the recently launched venue.[br][br]Notably, it will be India's first all-electric long-range crossover and will be locally assembled through completely knocked down (CKD) route.[br][br]Here's more.[br][br]Looks[br][br]Let's have a look at the car[br][br]
[br][br]In terms of looks, the Hyundai Kona EV comes with a distinctive design sporting sharp-edged stylish bumpers, rain-sensing wipers, and an attractive paint job.[br][br]For lighting, it houses twin LED auto headlamps with daytime running lights and LED taillamps.[br][br]Further, the car runs on 17-inch alloy wheels with a wheelbase of 2,600mm.[br][br]Interiors[br][br]Inside the cabin[br][br]Inside the cabin, the Hyundai Kona EV offers attractive interiors featuring leather upholstery, ventilated seats, and a multi-function steering wheel with power steering capabilities.[br][br]Coming to the electronics part, it sports an 8-inch touchscreen panel with satellite navigation, 8-speaker KRELL sound system with a subwoofer, and a bunch of new-age features like real-time traffic updates, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.[br][br]Engine[br][br]Power and Performance[br][br]Globally, the Hyundai Kona EV is available in two electric motor options: 100kW motor and a 150kW unit.[br][br]The 100kW motor has a range of 289km and churns out 136PS of power while the 150kW unit with a range of 450km is capable of producing 204PS of power.[br][br]Both the power units are mated to electronic transmission.[br][br]
[br][br]Safety[br][br]Hyundai Kona EV: On the road[br][br]For braking performance, the Hyundai Kona EV features ABS along with EBD and cruise control for better grip on the road.[br][br]Further, it offers a bunch of advanced safety features including forward collision-avoidance assist, blind spot detection, Intelligent Speed Limit Warning (ISLW) and much more.[br][br]The subcompact SUV also packs six airbags along with child safety locks.[br][br]And, what about pricing?[br][br]As far as pricing is concerned, the Hyundai Kona EV is expected to arrive at a price of around Rs. 25 lakh (ex-showroom) in India.
