2019 Ford Figo Facelift Launched in India at Rs 5.15 lakh

[p]The 2019 Ford Figo facelift has been launched in India with prices starting at Rs 5.15 lakh (ex-showroom, India). Despite styling and mechanical changes, the Ford Figo price in India has been reduced by Rs 70,000 as compared to its predecessor.

[p]The 2019 Ford Figo is available in Ambiente, Titanium and Titanium Blu variants in three engine-gearbox options. The Figo petrol manual Ambient variant is priced at Rs 5.15 lakh, the Titanium MT at Rs 6.39 lakh and the range topping Titanium Blu at Rs 6.94 lakh (all prices ex-showroom, India). The automatic gearbox is available only with the Titanium trim which can be had for Rs 8.09 lakh.

[p]Changes have also been made to the interior in tandem with siblings, Ford Aspire and Ford Freestyle. Features such as keyless entry, push-button start/stop, automatic climate control, automatic headlamps and wipers, parking camera and a large 7.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system are reserved for the top-spec variant.

[p]However, it misses out on Ford’s new Sync3 infotainment system which is compatible with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

Safety kit on the facelifted Figo includes mandatory features like dual front airbags, ABS with EBD, seatbelt reminders, rear parking sensors and seatbelt reminder in compliance with the new safety norms.

[p]In addition to above features, the range topping Titanium Blu additionally gets six airbags (in total) and adjustable rear headrests. Other bits such as ESP, traction control and hill-start assist are offered only with the Titanium petrol automatic variant.

[p]Ford has introduced two new petrol engines to the Figo line-up which includes a 1.2-litre, three-cylinder unit that puts out 96hp against 120 Nm. This engine is paired to a five-speed manual gearbox. There is a 1.5-litre, three-cylinder engine that makes 123hp of power and 150 Nm torque and is supported by a six-speed torque converter. There is no change in the diesel range as it continues to get the 1.5-litre oil burner good for 100hp with 215Nm torque. Transmission duties on the oil burner are carried out by the conventional five-speed manual unit. Packed with styling updates, new engines and additional features, the 2019 Ford Figo takes on the likes of Maruti Swift, Hyundai Grand i10 and Volkswagen Polo. [br]
