[br][br]Share your location[br][br]Get more useful information from sites by letting them see your location. For example, by sharing your location, you can find food near you faster.[br][br]Let a site know your location[br][br]By default, Chrome asks you when a site wants to see your location. To let the site know where you are, choose Allow. Before sharing your location, review the site's privacy policy.[br][br]If you use Google as your default search engine on your phone, your location is used by default for your searches on Google.[br][br]Change your default location settings[br][br][ul][li]On your Android phone or tablet, open the Chrome app.[br][/li][/ul][ul][li]To the right of the address bar, tap More ] Settings.[br][/li][/ul][ul][li]Tap Site settings ] Location.[br][/li][/ul][ul][li]Turn Location on or off.[br][/li][/ul]To change the settings for a specific site, tap the site name listed below.[br][br]Change Google's access to your location[br][br]When Google is your default search engine, your location is used for your searches in the address bar and on Google.[br][br]To stop using your location in searches:[br][br][ul][li]On your Android phone or tablet, open the Chrome app.[br][/li][/ul][ul][li]Visit a Google search page, like google.com.[br][/li][/ul][ul][li]To the left of the web address, tap Lock.[br][/li][/ul][ul][li]Tap Site settings ] Location access.[br][/li][/ul][ul][li]Select Block for current search engine.[br][/li][/ul]How Chrome shares your location[br][br]If you let Chrome share your location with a site, Chrome sends information to Google Location Services to get an estimate of where you are. Chrome can then share that info with the site that wants your location. |
