[br][br]Google has reportedly started rolling a design refresh inside the Play Store that is supposed to make app search easier for users. As mentioned by the Android Police website, the company is bringing its navigation bar in the Google Play Store at the bottom of the screen instead of placing it at the top. The search bar, however, is still at the top. This means you will soon witness the four tabs - Games, Apps, Moves & TV and Books - in the navigation bar placed at the bottom, which makes it easier to access.[br][br]The new design element, as seen in the screenshots shared by users on Reddit, has more rounded corners for the buttons. Also seen is that there is no Music tab but can still be accessed from the main menu on the left. The individual app page has also been overhauled to bring the rating in to focus along with the changelog and the screenshots.[br]Google seems to have taken a page from Apple’ App Store with the new design as it has started showing a circular app install progress bar around the app’s icon instead of a straight bar. The circular app install/update progress bar is similar to what you see in Apple’s App Store.[br]It has been mentioned that the new design is coming rolling out to Android users as a part of version 15.1.24. However, since this is a staged rollout, it might not be reaching all the users at once. But in case you are keen to experience the new Play Store, it is possible to download the apk file of the app from APK Mirror website.[br][br]Few weeks ago it was rumoured that Android phones may get Android OS updates directly from the Google Play Store instead of a separate OTA alert. Although there is no confirmation about this feature yet, we may see Google unveiling it at the upcoming Google io 2019 developer’s conference.[br] |
