[br] [br][br]Google Chrome is the American tech giant's internet client that prides itself on privacy and security.[br][br]Since its release over a decade ago, Google has added a litany of features to the browser to make it more secure for its expanding user base.[br][br][br]The latest of which is designed to protect fans from visiting "deceptive websites".[br][br]Such pages have seen an expansion of growth in recent years; one tactic employed by them is to use a URL that is very similar to an established site.[br][br]As pointed out by the American tech giant, this could be as simple as being called "go0gle.com" instead of "google.com".[br][br]These sites can be used for malicious purposes, such as spreading malware onto a user's computer.[br][br]Google has developed a new warning that will attempt to alert users to when they are potentially visiting a page that is not intended.[br][br]The function works by comparing the URL of the page being visited with previous URLs a particular user has been to before.[br][br] [br]
